Rush
Fall 2008 Rush Events
How do I join Delta Tau Delta?
Men interested in joining may participate in an open, informal recruitment process. Traditionally called "Rush," this occurs at the beginning of the fall and winter academic terms and provides multiple opportunities for both fraternities and potential members to interact. Through a series of public information events and informal gatherings with individual fraternities, students have ample time to find the right organization for them. If you feel you have what it takes to uphold the Delta Tau Delta name, be sure to attend as many rush events and get to know as many brothers as you can.
How many chapters does Delta Tau Delta have?
Delta Tau Delta is composed of 116 chapters and colonies in North America.
Do Delts haze?
We do not condone hazing in our undergraduate chapters, in fact it is outlawed by our constitution. As a values based organization, this behavior contradicts our value of integrity and our mission - Committed to Lives of Excellence.
Does Delta Tau Delta have an education foundation?
Yes, the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation was established in 1981. The Foundation currently grants the Fraternity money to provide educational programming for our undergraduate members. The most recent "Building on Excellence" campaign raised over $9.5 million for educational programming. Overall value of the Foundation is estimated at $14 million.
What is the Pledge Period?
During the pledge period you will learn about the history of Delta Tau Delta, how to run an effective chapter, the duties of the officers and also be shown what it means to be a productive member of the chapter.
Is Delta Tau Delta a drinking club?
A common notion, whether a misconception or not, is that all that is involved in fraternity life is a payment for friends, and beer drinking. With Delts, this notion is a misconception, in fact, we revere the fact that you will never hear people outside of the fraternity, who know even a little about Delts, would not brand us with this common notion. If you are looking for much more than a drinking club, are in the pursuit of a real brotherhood, and believe in being committed to lives of excellence, Delta Tau Delta might be the fraternity for you.
